AI Model New Releases + Enhancements

Power Distribution Intelligence

Improved: Open cutout detection

Now reaching 90% accuracy, this latest version identifies open and closed fuses more reliably—especially valuable during rapid assessment and restoration phases in storm response operations.

New: Pole-top damage detection (beta)

This model identifies poles with damaged or frayed tops, helping utilities proactively flag assets that may require maintenance or replacement.

New: Pole-top bird discourager detection (beta)

This model detects bird discouragers installed on pole tops, helping utilities inventory avian protection devices.

Vegetation Intelligence

Improved: Vine classifier (beta)

Following earlier iterations with higher false-positive rates, the new beta version delivers a significant boost in performance with almost 70% accuracy, providing more dependable vine detection results across inspected assets.

3rd Party and Joint Use Intelligence

New: Cable segmentation (beta)

Early development work is underway on a new cable segmentation and identification model. This foundational work will support future make-ready and measurement use cases by differentiating and outlining individual cables on poles.

Inspect Cloud

New: Data collection tracking by Edge unit ID

Users can now filter and track data collections by specific Edge unit IDs, enabling better visibility into which vehicles captured particular assets.

New: Raw data capture visualization

In addition to “best frame” images, each unit now also has the option to include raw data capture that can be imported and visualized within Inspect Cloud—offering deeper insight into capture context and data completeness.

New: Add and edit regions

Users can now import new region KML files or update existing region names and metadata directly within the platform.

New: Bounding box editing tools

Users can now add, remove, or modify bounding boxes and labels, making it easier to refine AI detections and improve overall data accuracy.

Improved: Backend performance and latency

Introduced a new asset snapshot table that consolidates asset data more efficiently—resulting in faster load times and improved system responsiveness.

Inspect Edge

New: Starlink Integration

Inspect Edge now supports Starlink connectivity, providing a reliable backup to cellular in areas with limited or disrupted cellular coverage—especially critical during storm response operations.

Improved: Automatic camera recovery

Enhanced camera management ensures the system automatically detects and recovers from camera dropouts, improving reliability in the field.
